About UP HANDI CUP
“UP.Handi.CUP” is a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering people with determination to live fulfilling lives and be active participants in society.
We believe in promoting inclusivity, under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs 3/5/8/10/11/16/17)*, advocating for the rights of people with determination and providing them with the necessary support to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Our target are Individuals with determinations or special needs, as well as the broader community and society.
Our Mission
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with determination by promoting their rights, providing support services, and fostering an inclusive society that values diversity and equal opportunities for all. We aim to empower individuals with determination to live independently, participate fully in all aspects of life, and be recognized for their abilities rather than their disabilities.
Our Vision
Our NGO envisions a society where individuals with disabilities are fully included, respected, and empowered. We strive for a world where people with determination are not a barrier to opportunities, and every person with a disability can live a life of dignity, independence, and fulfillment. We aim to create a society that values and celebrates the unique abilities and contributions of individuals with determinations, ensuring equal access to education, employment, healthcare, and social participation. Our ultimate vision is a world where disability is no longer seen as a limitation, but as a diverse and valuable aspect of human diversity.
Programs and Initiatives
EDUCATION AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
We believe that education is a fundamental right for every individual, regardless of their disability. We work towards ensuring that children with determination have access to quality education and inclusive learning environments. Our programs also focus on developing vocational skills and providing employment opportunities for adults with determination, enabling them to lead self-sufficient lives.
ADVOCACY AND POLICY REFORM
We actively advocate for the rights and inclusion of individuals with determination at local, national, and international levels. We collaborate with government bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to influence policy reform, ensuring that determination rights are protected, and inclusive practices are implemented. We also raise awareness and challenge societal stereotypes and stigmas surrounding disabilities.
ACCESSIBLE INFRASTRUCTURE AND TECHNOLOGY
We work towards creating a more accessible environment for individuals with determination by promoting the construction of barrier-free infrastructure, such as ramps, accessible toilets, and sensory-friendly spaces. Additionally, we support the development and use of assistive technologies that enhance the independence and well-being of individuals with determination.
HEALTH AND REHABILITATION SERVICES
We provide comprehensive health and rehabilitation services to individuals with determination, focusing on their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Our services include medical care, therapy, counseling, and support groups, ensuring that individuals with determination receive the necessary care and support to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND EMPOWERMENT
We actively engage with local communities to promote inclusivity and raise awareness about disability cases. We organize workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns to foster understanding, empathy, and acceptance of individuals with determination. We also provide support groups and mentorship programs, empowering individuals with determination and enabling them to become active members of their communities.
